Anna Silk was born in Fredericton as the child of Peter Silk, an academic as well as Ilkay Silk, who is an actress, director, producer, educator, playwright and Director of Drama of Drama at St. Thomas University. Anna was born in Fredericton and is being the daughter of Ilkay Silk and Peter Silk. Her mother is an "English-Turkish Cypriot ex-pat" who hails originally from Britain. Anna remembers attending the rehearsals of productions as a young girl and watching her mom at work. Anna appeared in numerous commercials as a kid. Anna relocated to Toronto so that her acting skills could improve. Later, the actress was able to move to Los Angeles. She met Seth Cooperman in 2007 at an acting training located in Los Angeles, and they became engaged in the year 2009. Anna became a Jew in 2011 after converting to Judaism. The couple was wed in a civil ceremony in December that year and then renewed their vows during a Jewish ceremony in Fredericton the month of April in 2011.
